As it stands i like the top one better but the idea of the guy is really good. i second vaughan. My suggestion would be to move the orange lantern because its in the middle and my eye goes right to it because of the composition of the piece and the intensity of the lantern.
Nice sketches! My opininon is, that the top one is a bit empty. On the bottom I would like to move the guy aside, cause he doesn`t let me see the most important thing- the landing. Why not to reflect him horizontally and place in the right corner of the canvas. Also, I would blur him, so that he did not attract too much attention and the aircraft was in focus. This is my personal point of view. Cheers!
which one do ya'll like better?? the man is supposed to look out of focus haha... i dont know if it turned out well or not...

these are sweet!! i like the guy, maybe if he was a bit less dominant. maybe smaller or in shadow or something to tone him down.
